Five short steps. Each step adds one part to your prompt. At the end, you copy it into ChatGPT or Claude.
Everything the film and the five steps teach, on one page.
A prompt is the message you write to an AI such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini: your request, in your own words. The AI answers what you ask. A vague prompt gets a generic answer. A complete prompt gets an answer made for your situation.
A system prompt is written once, in the background, by the people who build an AI tool. It tells the AI how to behave every time, and you never see it. Your prompt sits on top of it. It is the part you write, and it is the part this lesson teaches.
Remember one word, FRAME. Each letter is one part of a complete prompt.
Role: Act as a digital marketing expert with 10 years of experience in B2B. Context: We are a small software company that just launched a project management tool. Our marketing budget is $5,000 a month. Our customers are small and mid-sized Canadian businesses. Task: Create a 3-month content plan that brings qualified leads from LinkedIn and our blog. Rules: Use a professional and simple tone. Give concrete actions with dates. Add one measurable result for each action. Format: A table with the columns: Week, Action, Channel, Result to measure, Budget.
Before you start, take one minute to get the idea. What is a prompt?
A prompt is simply the message you write to the AI. Your request, in your own words.
A system prompt is different. The people who build the tool write it once, in the background. It tells the AI how to behave, every time, and you never see it. Your prompt sits on top. It is the part you write.
In this lesson, you write that prompt. A short prompt gets a generic answer. A complete prompt gets the answer you need.
A complete prompt has five parts. To remember them, keep one word. FRAME.
F is for Function: who the AI should be. R is for Reason: your situation and your goal. A is for Action: the task. M is for Method: the rules to follow. And E is for Expression: what the answer should look like.
Before you start, think of one real task from your week. A reply to write. A plan to draft. A report to summarize. Keep it in mind.
